Four young men died after consuming 'desi' moonshine in Karachi



Four young men died after consuming 'desi' moonshine in the metropolis, hospital officials said on Monday.
36-year old Victor was brought in from Pahar Ganj area of North Nazimabad for treatment at Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre on Monday.
Victor had consumed moonshine and showed symptoms of alcohol poisoning, said Dr. Seemin Jamali, head of the emergency department. Dr Jamali added that Victor died during the treatment.
Dr. Jamali said that three other men— identified as Sohail Inayat from Kati Pahari locality, Tanveer Masih from Landhi area and an unknown man aged around 22 years from Safari Park, Gulistan-e-Johar— came in on Sunday for treatment and had also consumed moonshine.
All three men were unconscious and also died during treatment.
